The new food system on Cromimi! - Cromimi Forum

Hello dear players,

There have been some big changes on Cromimi, especially with the food system that is vital for your little Cromimis.


First things first, before now, food items were bought uniquely for their visual aspect. Each food item brought the same nutrients to your rodent. There were always nutrients, but they were just not visible.

We have decided to give you more options/power while feeding your Cromimi. To do this, we have given each food item a different nutritive value, so each items affects your Cromimi a little differently (i.e. a cereal bar is more nutritive than a blackberry, and a salade is more filling than grass).

We have changed the price of each food item so the price of each item is appropriate to its effect . We understand that seeing an apple pass from 8 to 11 GM is scary, but, what if I say that now the new apple fills your Cromimi up more than before? What if a strawberry could feed a cage of 6 rodents for 2 days? The change in price become obvious.

We have been paying attention to spending If you give the same fruit to a cage, and a second to another cage, you will have spent the same amount on both cages.

For example :

For a cage of 6 rodents, rice can last for about 2 days and costs 40GM, while grapes can feed the same cage for about 1 day (barely) and costs 19GM. For 2 days, there is a difference of 2GM (which can be explained by the fact that rice is a bit more filling and lasts for a bit more than 2 days).

Also, if you buy 1 grape per cage, for all the cages, we get:

19 x 8 = 152GM. So, for a player with 48 rodents, they can spend 152 GM per day. That’s not overly expensive.

And we have also implemented new details just for you :

Hunger :

- Not very filling : The food item feeds at least 5 cromimis (fills between 1 and 5 hunger hearts).

- Filling: The food item feeds more than 5 cromimis and, maximum 5 cromimis during 2 days (fills between 6 and 10 hearts).

- Very filling : The food item feeds more than 5 cromimis during 2 jours (fills at least 11 hearts).

Tip : It’s important to understand that the filled hearts are shared between Cromimis in the cage the item is place

Thirst :

- Makes very thirsty: the food item removes half of the amount of added hunger hearts (Cromimi gets 2 hunger hearts, 1 thirst heart is removed)

- Makes thirsty: the food item removes ⅕ of the amount of added hunger hearts  (Cromimi gets 5 hunger hearts, 1 thirst heart is removed).

- Not very refreshing: the food item gives ⅕  of the added hunger hearts (Cromimi gets 5 hunger hearts, 1 thirst heart is added).

- Refreshing: the food item gives half of the added hunger hearts (Cromimi gets 2 hunger hearts, 1 thirst heart is added).

- Very refreshing: the food item gives the same number of the added hunger hearts  (Cromimi gets 2 hunger hearts, 2 thirst hearts are added).

Tip : With these effects, the Cromimi will consume more or less water from the bottle. Remember to think about this when shopping at the Pet Shop.

Weight :

- Very light: The food item will cause Cromimi to gain between 0,4 gr and 0,6 gr for each hunger heart gained.

- Light: The food item will cause Cromimi to gain between 0,6 gr and  0,85 gr for each hunger heart gained.

- Balanced: The food item will cause Cromimi to gain between 0,85 gr and 1 gr for each hunger heart gained.

- Moderately rich : The food item will cause Cromimi to gain between 1 gr and 1,25 gr for each hunger heart gained.

- Rich : The food item will cause Cromimi to gain between 1,25 gr and 1,5 gr for each hunger heart gained.

- Very rich :The food item will cause Cromimi to gain at least 1,5 gr for each hunger heart gained.

Tip : Remember that a rodent loses 1 heart a day and 0,85 gr. You must feed them enough so they don’t lose/gain weight. Weight affects the challenges and illnesses, so be careful.
